Marshaling traffic in London

Marshaling traffic in London

We’re always looking for new marshals. If you’re over 18 (sorry, legal requirement), can keep your head while all around are losing theirs and blaming it on you, can usually keep up at the front on the LFN and still want to go faster – if you’re intrigued by the sexy yellow hi-viz vests and glamorous lifestyle of LFNS marshals, contact us to find out what to do next.

Our assessment and training programme will put you through your paces, looking at your skating ability, road sense and speed. We ask that you commit to marshal on average two skates a month or more (these can be LFNS or the Sunday Strolls) but as soon as you find out how much fun it is you’ll want to do more than that.

You don’t have to be an expert skater to marshal – most of our marshals weren’t when they started – but don’t let us discourage you if you are. Common sense, traffic sense, and a calm head are all more important than your 500m sprint time.

Please email us at this address if you’d like more information about being a marshal..

  1. Hi,

Welcome to 2011 and the need for more marshals continues…..

Anyone interested in marshalling please speak to Tom G, Tanya G, Sparky or Roger. Normally one or more of us make it to each skate – most people can point us out (look for lycra and hi-viz).
